The Arctic Plunge Tub from Dundalk Leisurecraft is a one-person cold plunge handcrafted in Canada from Western Red Cedar, with a heavy-duty HDPE liner, a molded interior seat, and stainless steel bands. Add ice for a classic cold plunge, or run a chiller and hold temperature all season.
Choose your cedar. The Arctic comes in Knotty Red Cedar, with the natural character and knots of the wood, or Clear Red Cedar, a smooth premium grade with tighter, cleaner grain. Both are the same tub underneath.
Sit and submerge. The molded interior seat lets you sink in to the shoulders while seated. The barrel measures 37-1/2 inches across the top and 43-3/4 inches tall, with a tapered interior that draws down to the floor drain.
No plumbing required. Fill it from a garden hose and empty it through the built-in floor drain with a standard 3/4 inch connection. Pair it with a Penguin or Coldture chiller and the Arctic holds water as low as 37 F, even in full sun.
Ships fully assembled, made in Canada. There is no barrel to build. Set it in place, fill it, and plunge. Backed by a 5 year residential limited warranty.

May be HSA/FSA eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity. A cold plunge is a dual-purpose wellness item, so it may qualify as a medical expense under IRS Section 213(d) when a licensed provider documents that you need it to treat or manage a specific diagnosed health condition, rather than for general wellness. In practice that means a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN), which you can get from your own doctor or from a telehealth service that issues them. You do not need TrueMed. Keep in mind a letter alone does not guarantee eligibility, so whether yours qualifies depends on your provider tying it to a real condition and on your own plan.
On payment: many HSA and FSA debit cards only work at merchants with a health-care category code, so they are often declined at a general store like ours. What is the difference between Knotty and Clear Red Cedar?+
They are the same tub. Knotty Red Cedar shows the natural knots and character of the wood at a lower price. Clear Red Cedar is a premium grade with smoother, tighter, cleaner grain.
Does the Arctic come with a chiller?+

How cold does it get?+
With a compatible chiller the Arctic holds water as low as 37 Fahrenheit. Without a chiller you run it as an ice bath.
Can I sit down in it?+
Yes. The Arctic has a molded interior seat, so you can submerge to the shoulders while seated. The barrel is 37-1/2 inches across and 43-3/4 inches tall.
Does it ship assembled?+
Yes. The tub arrives fully built, with the cedar, bands, and liner already assembled at the factory. The only setup is threading on the supplied drain hardware, a few minutes with an adjustable wrench, then you place it, fill from a garden hose, and plunge. If you add a chiller, it connects to the pre-drilled ports.
Does it need plumbing?+
No. Fill it with a garden hose and empty it through the floor drain. A chiller plugs into a normal 110-120V GFCI outlet.

It depends on the brand — every product carries the manufacturer's own warranty, which we pass through and help you file. Dundalk cedar cold plunges carry up to a 5-year residential limited warranty on the tub (parts only); the bundled chiller is typically 1 year. Golden Designs and Maxxus saunas run 5 years on heating elements and electronics, 1 year on the wood. Most other brands are 1–2 years. You generally cover shipping to return a defective part.
